More old school goodness... a cluster of purple gladiolas. Everyone had to bring some flowers to class to paint. Just my luck, gladiolas were on sale where I worked, so I bought a bunch for just one dollar and skipped off to class with it... several other students wanted to paint them as well since they were so nice, and I got rave reviews when i posted my watercolor for crit. Yes, the picture is supposed to be angled like that... I lay them across the table as there was nothing to prop them up, and I liked how they looked that way. I wish I had more time to paint this, though...
