Tomorrow's my birthday! Has another year really gone by?

My dad asked me what I wanted for my b-day. I told him I needed a new bookshelf, as I bought so many books over the year that my current bookshelves (Yes, plural) are overflowing and the shelves are bowing under the weight (wow, I have a lot of books!) and a AC (window unit) because the flat I moved in has none and it gets fucking humid this time of the year.

Who needs clothes or shoes or CD's or a iPhone when I can have a bookshelf and an AC? I'm a complicated woman... with simple needs.

Protip! If you're one of these people who doesn't handle heat well (like me - I find it near impossible to focus on my writing or anything else when it's hot and muggy) fill up a few bottles (plastic) with water. DO NOT FILL ALL THE WAY. Make sure to leave some air at the top of the bottle (one inch or two) and put in the freezer. Once the bottles are all frozen, put them where you will - behind your neck, against your back or stomach, between your legs, etc. It's not the perfect solution, but it certainly helps in the heat.

Edit 6/27/09 As you can see, some retard is harrassing me on my front page. I blocked him but his AIDS and fail remain. I am not hiding the comments because I am reporting him, but I would appreciate if you guys would drop a random comment or something to knock his comments off the first page. Much appreciated.
